Buying and selling safely
Most buyers and sellers are honest. These habits protect you from the few who aren't.
Meet in a public place
- Choose a busy, well-lit place such as a café, a shopping centre or near a police station.
- Go during the day and, if you can, bring someone with you.
- You never need to share your home address to sell a small item.
Inspect before you pay
- Check the item works: switch phones on, test drive cars, look at documents.
- For phones, check the IMEI and that the device isn't locked to an account.
- For vehicles, compare the carte grise with the seller's ID and the chassis number.
Be careful with payments
- Never send money, a deposit or a transfer code before you have seen the item.
- Be suspicious of prices far below similar listings, urgency, or requests to continue on another app.
- Sou9na never asks you for passwords or card details by message.
Keep the conversation on Sou9na
- Messages stay linked to the listing, and you can block and report users.
- If something feels wrong, report the listing or the user — our team reviews reports.
